Welcome to Seed Sharing! We are pleased to offer a Seed Sharing Library at the Akron-Summit County Public Library Main Library. This project makes locally appropriate heirloom seeds available to local gardeners, community volunteers, children and library patrons. We are a grassroots, community seed library that supports Sonoma County gardeners with free, locally grown, open-pollinated, pesticide- and GMO-free seeds. All gardeners are welcome, with or without seeds to share. We hope that many gardeners will grow out seed to donate back to the library.

The seeds you get from the Seed Library are yours to keep and don’t need to be returned like other library materials. However, the Seed Library relies on seed donations from patrons' harvests to continue. All seed donations are processed by Garden Pool to ensure seed health and identification.
